The Humvee vs. The Hummer H1, The H2 and The H3

The Hummer H1 is the result of government interference (DOT) in the design of what started out as a really great truck. The Humvee is lighter and much more agile compared to the H1. Although they look almost identical, the H1 is almost 2,000 pounds heavier. The heavier you make the truck, the more you lose in payload, and also increase the odds of getting stuck when out in the mud. Do you really need the extra equipment/weight if your mission is going to be off-road? Our trucks are basic, which means not only are they lighter, but there’s not as many parts to screw up. That’s how we like it. Keep it simple stupid.

The Hummer H1 is nice and soft, and if you have the top up, the AC is nice, but if you have a convertible, what do you really need AC for? You say the girlfriend likes the AC? If she cannot be trained, then you don’t have many options. You either leave her at home until better weather, or get a new girlfriend. Wasn’t she a pain in the ass anyway? Can’t handle the heat? Well ladies, let your girly man buy an H2, but don’t let him take it off road

The cost difference is significant also. AM General charges the army something like $90,000 for a basic Humvee. You think that’s ridiculous? If you can still find a new ‘07 H1, they’ll charge you at least $145,000 for it, and that’s if you can get one. The H2 will run you at least $50,000, and you’ll be lucky to get 8 miles per gallon. Our refurbished Humvees average 16,000 miles per unit, which is hardly broke in. We add a few things to fix the mistakes the government and manufacturer made, and when we finish, they are actually better than new military humvees. However, our prices only start around $50,000. Did I mention that they hold their value better than any vehicle made today?

The H3? This is just a dressed up Cherokee with fender flares. How dare they put a Hummer sticker on such a thing!
